Job Description:   Research and design of technology infrastructure and technology integration systems. I provide technical assistance and hardware support to the school system at a district level. I provide special systems training and assistance to the staff of Safety and Security, Transportation Office, Maintenance and Facilities Office and all schools. I also manage the District’s Computer Repair Center.  

 

September 2001 to September 2002

Job Description:  I maintained all low voltage electronic systems within the Dalton Public Schools system. These Electronic systems included: Telephone, Intercom, Closed Circuit Television, Security Closed Circuit Television, Fire Alarm, Burglar Alarm, Public Address, Energy Management, Building Automation Systems, and Telephony oriented Networks. I also assisted the Media Personnel with Electronic Technology Media such as Satellite Recording and Closed Circuit Broadcast (Distance Learning). I also maintained the Internet Access within the Media Centers. I helped redesign and provided assistance in the production of the morning television shows at City Park Elementry, Dalton High and Westwood Elementry Schools.

Job Description: I provided technology training and assistance to the staff of Dalton High School. I maintained 6 computer labs on campus as well as all individual faculty, staff and student computers. This included 2 Novell servers, 1 Windows NT server, and 3 Apple servers. I maintained or provided data network wiring, computer repairs, software upgrades, and computer equipment orders.  Dalton High School had approximately 425 computers in service. I also programmed the satellite systems to receive distance-learning programs.  I was also on call for all technology needs at Mountain Brook, Crossroads, Westwood Elementary, Dalton Education Foundation, and the Maintenance office.

I initiated the retrofit of existing schools with new Intercom Systems that include the installation of a telephone in every classroom.
